When you choose to work with a new carrier, you have to set-up the new carrier on Shipup

1 - How does the matching carrier work?

When a tracking number is uploaded in Shipup, we try to assign a carrier to this package based on the available information.

a - Classic carriers

Among this information, we can find the "carrier_code" which is used and usable if the carrier concerned is indeed part of the list of carriers integrated in Shipup and if it is selected on the account.

In cases where we do not retrieve this information, we use an internal nomenclature system allowing us to match the tracking numbers with the carriers integrated in Shipup.

b - Specific carriers

Some carriers require additional information that Shipup calls "carrier credentials" which allows us to retrieve details of information related to packages.

In order to be able to track these carriers, you have the possibility of viewing which ones require this information and configure yourself these "carrier credentials" in the back office of Shipup.

a - Add or delete a classic carrier

Here are the steps :

  • Go on you settings here
  • Scroll down until you reach the section "Shipping carrier settings"
  • Select the carriers
  • ⚠️ Don't forget to save the change

When a carrier is not selected in the general settings or, that Shipup does not have an integration with him, it will be displayed with this icon in the orders list.
